A-Perustus has been heavily involved in Metsä Group's Kemi bioproduct plant project. The cooperation between the companies has been very smooth and has increased A-Perustus' position as a strong industrial construction expert.
The start of the cooperation dates back to the end of 2021, when a contract was signed with Metsä Fibre, a Metsä Group company, for the foundations of the pipeline and conveyor bridges and earthworks at the Kemi bioproducts plant. This successful contract enabled A-Perustus to continue its cooperation at the Kemi bioproduct plant site, where it carried out the concrete work for the sulphuric acid plant and the first wastewater pumping station.
A-Perustus has also been working on a second wastewater pumping station for the bioproduct plant. The company redesigned the structures and then provided both the earthworks and concrete works. In addition, structural design and concrete works were carried out for the stormwater retention pumping stations.
Most recently, A-Perustus has signed a contract with Metsä Board, a member of the same group, for a pump house contract at the Kemi board mill.
"Metsä Group has strict requirements for its projects and we are very satisfied with the professionalism and reliability of A-Perustus," comments the project manager of the Kemi bioproduct plant project.
Eelon Lappalainen, Construction Manager at Fimpec Oy.
A-Perustus is ready to continue to be a reliable partner and offer the best possible quality and reliability in construction projects.
