Founded in 2015, Anfra Oy has grown in ten years from a local foundation services provider to a major construction company employing more than 250 people. The company has expanded from To the scale of the Nordic countries<\/a>, and now covers comprehensive infrastructure construction, design and strong expertise in concrete and earthworks. Since the beginning, Anfra has been led by its founder Tomi Puoskari, who emphasises continuous development and innovation.<\/p>\n

The effects of Anfra's growth and internationalisation are of course reflected in the daily lives of its employees. As projects have grown in size and diversified, some of the tasks have become more challenging and varied. Many employees feel that they have been given more responsibility, which at the same time provides an opportunity for professional development and the acquisition of new skills. International projects have also given employees exposure to different ways of working and cultures, which adds value to their skills.<\/p>\n

From the workers' point of view, the main improvements brought about by this growth are the quality of tools and safety at work.<\/h6>\n

The emphasis on safety in construction is evident in the work of almost every employee, and Anfra is clearly seen as a pioneer in improving safety across the construction industry. Driven by growth, the company has invested heavily in safety training and practices, which translates into lower accident rates and a positive safety culture on sites.<\/p>\n

Digitalisation and technological developments, such as the use of artificial intelligence, have brought new opportunities to improve efficiency and quality. Employees have said that the integration of technology into their daily work has significantly facilitated processes and helped solve previously perceived challenges. On the other hand, digitalisation and larger projects have increased paperwork and controls, which are sometimes perceived as challenging and time-consuming.<\/p>\n

However, the growth of the company has not come without challenges<\/h6>\n

Many workers have experienced increasing urgency and occasional pressure as their schedules have tightened. In addition, a more accurate control of resources is sometimes perceived as difficult in the workplace. Variations in the quality of communication have also been observed, particularly as the company grows, highlighting the need to invest in clear and open interaction at all levels of the organisation.<\/p>\n

New faces on construction sites are largely perceived as a positive phenomenon that increases diversity and opportunities for new learning. At the same time, employees report that they appreciate the constant refreshment of teams and the work community with new recruits. Anfra therefore strongly values openness, flexibility and continuous learning, and regularly offers a range of training and professional development opportunities.<\/p>\n

Anfra's strength lies in its ability to adapt to change and maintain a professional and attractive working environment. Employees describe how the company has managed to maintain a good working atmosphere despite the many changes that have accompanied its growth. Despite the fact that growth brings both exciting opportunities and practical challenges, employees' commitment and professional pride in the company have remained strong.<\/p>\n

So, having passed the ten-year milestone, Anfra is ready to face the challenges of the future.
