Experience Generated Cost Savings in the Major Contract for Kotka Battery Material Plant

Akkumateriaalitehtaan lattiaurakka

Our team at the site has just wrapped up one of the year's biggest pushes: the Kotka battery material plant has officially received its robust and dependable industrial floors. Over six months of intensive contracting, we poured a staggering 37,000 square meters of flooring across the building's different stories. Along the way, we helped the client fine-tune the designs for maximum efficiency. Thanks to our hands-on experience, we saved a massive amount of both time and valuable building materials.

Anfra carried out the contract for the ground-supported structures and floors of the multistory main building at Easpring Finland New Materials Oy’s Kotka battery material plant for the Finnish branch of China Harbour Engineering Company.

Continuous Optimization Delivered Efficiency and Savings

The extensive scope of work encompassed earthworks, piping, utility trenches, and massive floor pours across the building’s various levels. Over the six-month period, approximately 1,600 tons of steel were installed on site, and nearly 9,000 cubic meters of concrete were poured.

In large-scale industrial projects, constantly refining the original plans during the execution phase is often essential for efficient construction. Throughout the Kotka contract, Anfra actively proposed technical changes to both the structures and work methods. As a result, the main building's implementation proved to be more practical and production-friendly than the initial designs.

”Näin laajoissa hankkeissa rakentajan käytännön kokemus kentältä on ensiarvoisen tärkeää.
