The historic investment boom in Northern Sweden is strongly reflected in Anfra's order book. Our Swedish subsidiary, Anfra Nordic AB , is currently building a power substation at Kiirunan lentoasemalle. The client for the project is the Swedish state-owned airport operator, Swedavia.

The contract, named "Kiruna Flygplats – Kraftstation", covers the complete execution of the construction works for the airport's new power substation. Work commenced in spring 2026, and the project is currently progressing as planned towards the handover scheduled for spring 2027.

The airport's power substation project is a significant vote of confidence for Anfra Nordic AB, as Swedavia is one of Sweden's largest and most well-known state-owned infrastructure clients.

Kiruna's growth requires robust infrastructure

Northern Sweden, and particularly the globally renowned mining town of Kiruna, is currently experiencing an exceptional period of growth. The region's massive industrial investments and the relocation project of an entire town are directly reflected in logistics as well. The airport's new power substation is a critical part of the region's infrastructure development, ensuring the energy supply for future needs as well.
